How it works

Your assistant gathers the figures. The engine does the math.

ValuationMCP runs inside the assistant you already use. Your assistant reads your CRM, ledger and custodian through the connections you already have and sends ValuationMCP only the totals and where each came from. The engine returns a seven-method valuation with its range and data confidence.

From your systems to a number

How it works

Your assistant reads the rows. ValuationMCP gets the totals.

Your systems connect to your assistant, not to ValuationMCP. Each read is a one-time request. Rows are totalled there, and only the totals cross over, each tagged with its source and time.

Illustrative figures. Shown: working in your assistant. If you connect a system inside the ValuationMCP web app instead, the app keeps an encrypted credential for it, and rows still pass through without being stored. An estimate for planning discussions, not a formal appraisal, an offer or investment advice.

What happens when you ask

  1. 01

    Connect your assistant

Connect ValuationMCP once to an MCP-compatible assistant. Claude is the reference client. Every tool runs as you, over your own practice data, behind OAuth.

  2. 02

    Ask a question

Ask in plain language, for example “What's my practice worth?”

  3. 03

    Your assistant gathers the figures

It reads your CRM, ledger and custodian through the connections you already have, or you state the figures yourself. Anything missing lowers data confidence instead of being guessed.

  4. 04

    The engine computes

ValuationMCP runs the seven methods, the quality multiplier and the blend. No AI layer computes, adjusts or rounds a figure.

  5. 05

    You get the report

The valuation with its range and data confidence, a branded page your assistant builds from it, and the next questions to ask.

What reaches ValuationMCP, and what doesn't

Reaches ValuationMCP

The specific figures your assistant sends, each with the platform or system that supplied it and when.

Stays on your side

Credentials for your external platforms. Statements, transaction histories, CRM exports, position-level data, payroll files and similar source material. Client names, account numbers and positions: ValuationMCP has no field for client-identifying data.

No standing connections to your systems. Every pull is a one-time request in a conversation you can see.

Data connectors

Stop re-typing the numbers your systems already hold.

Your assistant pulls figures from 52 supported MCP servers — CRM, portfolio accounting, custody, billing and your ledger — with every figure logged to its source. If a system is missing, you state the number; the valuation never guesses.

Prices the number

Sets the revenue and EBITDA multiples the engine prices off, by firm size.

Sanity-checks and fills gaps

Positions your practice against its filed cohort and fills gaps with published medians. Deal plans also show a buy target's stated fees from its Part 2A brochure (2024 archive) — evidence only, never a valuation input.

Filed evidence

Form 5500 shows which large plans name the adviser on Schedule C and what they filed paying it. Form 13F shows listed holdings, dated and kept separate for each confirmed CIK. Filed holdings value is not total AUM. Neither changes the valuation, coverage or confidence.

Prefer a browser?

The workbench at valuationmcp.ai runs in any browser. Every saved run opens there, where the same numbers are editable with charts. The assistant is the fastest way to gather inputs; the workbench is where you adjust them.

What the workbench includes on each plan:

Free

  • 1 full valuation, then preview-only reruns
  • Practice valuation run and Valuation literacy skills
  • One-page artifacts with a ValuationMCP.ai footer

Owner

  • Unlimited runs with saved history
  • Workbench and history

Deal

  • Engage up to 25 targets — each joins on a free account
  • Everything in Owner: your firm + 1 sandbox, unlimited runs
  • A2A data requests: your agent requests data from your targets' agents, with your approval at every step
